Running and Future Plans.
A couple of nights back, I had a thought.
I was sitting in my room at my mac, like I have been all summer, thinking of the past year, and the future year. Last year a few things ‘took over’ my life a little bit, so to speak, and the thought I had to myself was, “What more could I do next year?”.
Last year, I hadn’t be too outgoing, or social for that matter, even though I said I would like to join the gym in town and do more things with different people.
Around mid-June to mid-July time over summer a few things.. important things.. were going around in my head and onto my family life. I realised that this year (academic) I had to change quite a few things that I was or wasn’t doing last year. I was close to failing my first year, down to written work, and I wasn’t really living that healthily by what I was eating, not going out much and doing the same thing day in, day out.
So for this year I have got a few things that I want to change or add into my weekly routine:
- Eat Healthier - More home cooking including more vegetarian style meals.
- Skateboarding - Start skating as a hobby by practising for at least an hour every other day.
- Running/Gym - I want to start jogging/running a certain distance every day and gradually increasing that distance by a mile when I find the previous distance not challenging enough. If I decided that I could afford to join the Gym in town, I would run there as well as work out on other things as well.
- Being Social - Last year I wasn’t the most social of people. I want to see other people that I knew from last year more often.
They’re the few things that I want to add into my weekly routine. I’m going to be more stern on myself and what I do by drawing up a weekly plan on my whiteboard.

Times have changed and I have to change to fit in with those times.
